Pools at Art of Animation Resort
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is a value resort at Walt Disney World Resort that is themed after four popular Disney and Pixar animated films: The Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, The Lion King, and Cars. The resort has three main pools, each themed after one of the films and a play area that is themed after The Lion King movie. This resort is great for families and individuals that are looking for the perks of staying on property and have the ability to have some rest and relaxation time while at Disney World. No matter what hotel you stay in, the three pools are within walking distance for all those staying at the Art of Animation Resort.
The Big Blue Pool
The Big Blue Pool is the largest pool at Art of Animation Resort and is themed after Finding Nemo. This large pool is located just outside the main lobby of the resort. Making it ideal for those that want to be able to have snacks while they’re pool time. There is also a kiddie pool for younger children. The Big Blue Pool is surrounded by a sun deck with plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas. There is also a pool bar where guests can purchase drinks and snacks. This pool normally is large crowds. The resort staff hold many events and activities on the pool deck throughout the day. This pool as well as all the pools are well staffed with lifeguards. Also life jackets are provided and can be found on the pool deck. If you are looking for a smaller pool, you may want to look at the Little Mermaid Pool or the Cars Pool.
The Little Mermaid Pool
The Little Mermaid Pool is themed after the classic Disney film of the same name. The Little Mermaid Pool is surrounded by a sun deck with plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas. This pool is located the furtherest away from the main lobby and cafe. However, it is a great option for those that are staying in the Little Mermaid Themed hotels located on the property. This pool is the second largest pool on property, however from anywhere on the pool deck you have a great line of sight of the pool. This is great for young families and pool goers that want to stay within close proximity of one another. Just outside of the pool entrance you will find your favor characters from the movie.
The Cars Pool
The Cars Pool is themed after the classic Disney film, Cars. The horseshoe shaped pool is the smallest of the three pools at Art of Animation. However, the area is feels private. It includes cone-shaped seating areas. The pool is within a few minute walking distance from the cafe and is located in Radiator Springs. There is a great pool for younger children or for those that want to be close to the action, however have a close eye on their children. The pool is surrounded by a sun deck with plenty of lounge chairs.
