Indian Food in Wautoma, WI: Kitchen Comfort | WiscoLens
And then there’s the bread. The naan was so good that we kept reaching for more. Order it, and order more than you think you need. The menu lists butter naan and garlic naan, both sold in pairs, and a pair doesn’t go far when there are three of you and a lot of sauce.

The menu is bigger than you’d expect
Most small-town restaurants give you a one-page menu. Kitchen Comfort gives you five columns.

The vegetarian side alone includes paneer tikka masala, palak paneer, matar paneer, chana masala, dal makhani, aloo gobi, and a vegetable vindaloo. On the meat side you’ll find butter chicken, chicken and lamb vindaloo, lamb tikka masala, saag dishes, and shrimp and fish options. There are biryanis in vegetable, chicken, lamb, and shrimp, and prices on the board when we visited ran from $11.99 for veg fried rice to $17.99 for the shrimp and fish entrees.
Then it keeps going. Momos, the steamed Himalayan dumplings, come in chicken and veg, plus a chilli chicken version and a butter chicken version. There’s Nepali-style chow mein, fried rice, gobi manchurian, and samosa chaat. For dessert you can get gulab jamun, gajar halwa, or mango and pistachio kulfi. Add a mango lassi or a masala chai and you’ve covered the whole table.
Kitchen Comfort also serves American food, including cheeseburgers with a pretzel bun option. That’s handy if someone in your group isn’t an Indian food fan yet.

Wautoma is the newest stop on our list, and it’s the one we’d point people toward first if they’re already up this way. Reviewers have called out the same things we noticed: the food is fresh, the menu is varied, and the sign is easy to miss. Keep your eyes open on Main Street.
