<p>My family and I explored Wildcat Mound in May, and the experience left such an impression that we’re already planning a return trip in the fall to catch the vibrant autumn colors. The hike centers around a scenic loop that circles a few impressive rock formations perched along a ridge. While the initial trail—including a set of stairs—is maintained, the path becomes noticeably more rustic beyond that point. It’s all part of the adventure.</p>
<p>At the base of the stairs, you’ll find a small campground and outhouse-style restrooms, which are convenient for day-trippers and overnight visitors alike.</p>
